Child Care Council
First 5 Amador is a proud participant of the Amador Child Care Council, part of The Resource Connection. The mission of the Council is to partner with the community to promote the early care and education of children. The Council is committed to promoting affordable, accessible and high quality child care in Amador County.
Every year the Council coordinates Celebrate Our Children. This event is held during the Week of the Young Child and offers fun activities and entertainment, a free car seat check, food, a petting zoo, and so much more. It is held at the end of April each year.
The Amador Child Care Council holds their public meeting monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 1:00, all persons interested in child care issues are encouraged to attend. Meeting are held at the Amador County Office of Education district office. please call 209-754-1075 ext. 103 to confirm.
