Amador Quality for Kids is for licensed early care and education providers

Hi, my name is Jamie Wedge and I am in my 6th year of running a licensed family child care home - Sunnyhill Daycare in Jackson.
My family and I owned a small sporting goods store and when the company made it harder to keep open in a small town, I decided to follow my passion and teach children. Running your own child care business is not easy, but the best part is meeting other child care providers who share the same passion as me.
What I enjoy most about "Amador Quality for Kids" is that I can take child development classes and professional growth workshops on my own time, and in return First 5 Amador helps me by supplying educational toys, games, and stipends for my child care program. I love that Shannon Puente (Quality for Kids P.E.E.R. support) is just a phone call away if I ever have a question. It's nice to have another program that supports child care providers in Amador County.
Jamie has been a very active participant of "Amador Quality for Kids" for the past few years, and completed over 105 professional development hours during this last fiscal year!
Don't forget that if you are a licensed family child care provider and a participant of 'Quality for Kids,' you will have access to our P.E.E.R. Shannon Puente, who can provide you with additional support and resources... including weekly Zoom peer support meetings! Click HERE for more info.
